Preserving your wedding bouquet is a beautiful way to keep the memories of your special day alive for years to come.
At Smart Floral Art, we take your flowers and transform them into stunning, handcrafted art pieces that will serve as a lasting reminder of your wedding. Why would you want to put your beautiful wedding flowers in the bin!?
The process is simple and straightforward. That said, it does take a little bit of time (around 12-16 weeks) to get right. That's because you pour love, care and effort into each bouquet we preserve and frame we create. But we promise, it's worth the wait!
We’ve outlined each step below to help you understand what to expect.

Wedding flower preservation process
1. Making an Enquiry

The journey begins when you make an enquiry with us. Head over to our wedding bouquet preservation page or contact page to fill out a simple form with your details.
Don’t worry about choosing the size or style of your frame at this point – those decisions come later once your flowers are ready. We’ll get back to you with all the information you need to move forward.
We think the reasons are clear, but if you need any more persuading, check out this post on reasons to preserve your wedding bouquet.
2. Booking Your Date
Once we receive your enquiry, we’ll check our availability for your wedding date and send you all the information you need to proceed.
If you're wondering how long it will take to preserve your flowers, check out our post on how long does it take to preserve a wedding bouquet for a detailed breakdown.

3. Deposit
After confirming availability, we’ll book your spot in our diary and ask for a deposit to secure your place. This allows us to carefully plan each preservation order, making sure your flowers get the attention they deserve.
You can learn more about our prices and deposit information on our pricing page. You can also find some more general information on the cost to preserve a wedding bouquet here.
4. Delivering the Flowers

Once your big day is over, it’s time to send your flowers to us!
If you’re local to our studio in Accrington, you can hand-deliver your bouquet. Otherwise, we’ll send you a shipping label and packing guide to make sure your flowers get here safe and sound.
The fresher your flowers, the better the results, so we recommend sending them to us as soon as possible after your wedding.
5. Pressing the Flowers

Now it's time for the pressing.
After we receive your flowers, we begin the delicate process of pressing and drying them.
Once the flowers are received, we’ll email you to let you know they’ve arrived and explain the next steps.
This is when the magic starts to happen as we preserve each flower’s natural beauty.
6. Order Form
After around 8-10 weeks, your flowers will be fully dry. Once we reach this point, we’ll send you an order form where you can choose the frame design that best suits your style.
From modern and clean to more intricate designs, the choice is yours. Feel free to explore our gallery for inspiration before you make your decision.

7. Final Invoice
Once your design is confirmed and your frame is ordered, we’ll send you a final invoice for the remaining balance.
We’ll make sure everything is clear and transparent, so you’ll always know what to expect.
8. Approving the Design
Before we go ahead with framing, we’ll send you a photo of your design for approval.
This gives you the chance to make any final tweaks to the layout and design to make sure the arrangement is exactly how you want it. We want your wedding bouquet to be beautifully preserved for the next couple of decades!

9. Finishing Touches
Once you’ve approved the design, we’ll carefully glue the flowers in place and add any finishing touches, such as wooden surrounds, ribbons and other decorative details. This is when your bouquet truly comes to life in its new frame.
10. Packing & Posting

The final step is packing your framed bouquet and sending it to you.
We’ll notify you once your frame is ready for shipping or collection, so all that’s left to do is wait for it to arrive at its forever home!
For any questions along the way, our FAQ page is always here to help.
And if you're ready to start this wonderful process, send us a message and we'll only be too happy to help you out!
